Southern Cross in the news.

This past Friday Southern Cross president Russ Brick and 1st vice president Steve Van Ryn were interviewed by Nicole Perez of Local 10 News about the upcoming Great American Solar Eclipse. The report deals mainly with safely viewing the eclipe with a telescope. Here is a link to the footage on the Local 10 website:  https://www.local10.com/news/eclipse/what-equipment-do-you-need-to-watch-great-american-eclipse

Always remember, never look at the sun thru a telescope or any optical device without a proper filter on the FRONT lens. Never look thru a pair of eclipse glasses at the REAR of the optical train. Th resulting magnified image will most likely burn right thru the material and do permanent damage to your eyes.
