The new SCAS webisite now requires you to register with the website to participate in some activity on the site. The reason for this is to prevent website spam and prevent hacking of the website. You will need to be registered with the website if you want to access the Members area, Comment on blogs and news articles, become a member or renew membeship online. Registration is easy and once logged in, if you check the remember me box, you will not need to login every time you access the site.  We only ask for a little information upon registration, but only your first, last name and email address are required. If you are a past member and we had record of you email address, your past membership information will be merged with your new site registration. 

If you are a past current member or a past member please register with the website. You will benifit with additional information and access in the website. 

If you run into any problems with site registration please contact the website administrator using the contact form or email the Website Administrator.

Trey Mitchell has been interested in astronomy since the 1960's. He was doing astrophotography in the mid 1980's. Trey was a member of the Houston Astronomical Society lecturing on photography and deep sky observing. Trey has only done a little astrophotography in the digital age, but wants to pursue the newer techniques. Trey is also the developer of the New SCAS.org website.
